With a dominant position above the Blaise valley, located in the heart of lush greenery, the castle offers a large park with two gardens.
A first garden, created in the 18th century by Voltaire and Emilie du Châtelet, which is currently under renovation. Hornbeam hedges, fruit trees, avenues of lime trees are gradually emerging from the ground to redraw, in a more contemporary spirit, the lines of this vanished landscape.
A second picturesque garden, created in the 19th century, takes advantage of the relief and borders the canal.
This garden was partly designed by the landscaper Count Paul Lavenne de Choulot. There are always very beautiful trees there, including centuries-old plane trees, a charming humped bridge and a curiosity, the chalet dressing of the former house of the gardener of Voltaire and Emilie du Châtelet.
So many gardens, so many discoveries, available to walkers.
